Whether you're seeking therapy for your child, parent coaching, clinical supervision, or professional consultation, I'm here to walk alongside you with care and clarity. With 14 years of experience as a school counselor (PPSC) alongside my work as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Play Therapist™, I specialize in helping families bridge the gap between home, school, and emotional well-being.

I believe real change happens in safe, collaborative relationships, and I am honored to partner with your family on this path forward.

With gratitude,

Brittany Perez, MA, LPCC, PPSC, NCC, RPT™

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor #7249

What is a Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT™), and how does play therapy help my child?

An RPT™ is a licensed mental health professional who has completed extensive, specialized postgraduate coursework and hundreds of supervised clinical hours dedicated specifically to child play therapy. Play is a child’s natural language. Rather than forcing young children (ages 3–10) to sit and talk like adults, play therapy uses child centered, evidence-based play activities to help them process big emotions, heal from trauma or grief, build emotional regulation, and learn healthy coping strategies.

Can you help with my child’s school stress, anxiety, or IEP/504 accommodations?

Yes! In addition to being a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC #7249) and RPT™, I hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) in School Counseling and I have 14 years of experience working directly inside elementary, middle, and high schools. This unique background allows me to help children and teens navigate school anxiety, social dynamics, and behavioral challenges. When helpful, I can collaborate with teachers and school staff to help families advocate for classroom supports, 504 plans, and IEP mental health goals.

Do you offer in-person therapy in South Pasadena, CA and how do session formats work?

Yes! I offer in-person therapy sessions at our office located at 1101 Fremont Ave suite 101, South Pasadena, CA. For younger children (ages 3-10), sessions are held in-person using interactive play therapy and regular parent consultations. For tweens, teens, and parents, we offer both in-person sessions and secure virtual telehealth therapy throughout California.
